Inspired by Fear and Hunger and Kentaro Miura's Berserk.
lyrics
a mere bud to quell our famished longing
a fell oracle, vexed to irate
yet a sprout, yearning to belong
a hex of blackness calls us to rape and blemish
emblemish the womb
the priests that bent knee to the older gods
yet have to taste horrors fresh and wet with birthwater
for her to flower into something other
an idol from our fears
carved and traced into innocent skin
a mark of guilt and vile
the accuser foremost bends a knee to the wight claimed unseen
carved and traced into fecund flesh
a mark of burden and baal
the accuser foremost bends a knee to the wight claimed unseen
the accuser foremost bends a knee when he is crushed under great pressure
a purebred divine conceived in the gutters of mankind
gestation from terror and starvation
to bloom into our looming undoing
a caged babe, beaten and hated, and loved
and held, and forced to our loins
the key and gate to the endless and ever
athetosic nightfall
for her to bloom into something other
our gloam-petaled, deep-rooted, looming undoing
into an idol of our fears

Intense and unrelenting black / death metal bringing a merciless edge to their lacerating onslaught. Brutal / slam facets are executed with bloody effectiveness, and contrast in an interesting way with the black metal palette.
The dual vocal styles, alternating between shrieks and deep growls, certainly set this apart from others in similar genres. They also add a fair bit of dynamics to the album, breaking up some of the overwhelmingly driven aggression that constant beatdowns the listener. Lorenzo

Wow, just wow.👌
So glad this popped up in a shuffle of my library, it's been too long since I listened to it last.
I had given up on more Necrophagist magic, but there was no need to fret. The tech force is strong with this one 😀 pikeman_1798

More people need to know about this amazing band. Blazing fast death metal (with a bit of dissonance) and blistering guitar solos. I pre-ordered this one so fast, judging by their past albums. D.F.
The new LP from Québec group Krig is a mind-melter—punishing experimental death metal with wild grooves and jaw-dropping riffs. Bandcamp New & Notable Feb 27, 2022

Sounds like the thorny anus of reality shitting shards of distorted Transcendence into your pitiful ear hole. And that bass, holy shit. I don't know what an Effluent Regirth is, but I'm sure I don't want any. Ghuughra
